Privacy Policy

Instruo is the public brand used by Jack Leslie Jenkins trading as Instruo Systems, an Australian sole trader (ABN 41 885 774 165). This policy explains how we handle personal information in connection with instruo.com.au, enquiries and related business communications.

1. About this policy

Instruo is an Australian workflow automation consultancy. This policy applies to information collected through instruo.com.au, direct enquiries and related business communications.

2. Information we collect

We may collect your name, work contact details, company, role, approximate employee count, workflow description, systems involved, urgency, report-access choices, communication and marketing consent, referral source, attribution data, enquiry correspondence and technical security information such as IP-derived abuse signals. Do not send passwords, API keys, identity documents, health information or other sensitive information through the enquiry form.

3. How information is collected

Information is collected when you submit an enquiry or audit-access form, open a protected report, email us, book a call, communicate about services, or when privacy-preserving website analytics record aggregate use.

4. Why we use information

We use information to provide requested reports, maintain and secure time-limited access, record the choices made at submission, assess and respond to enquiries, arrange calls when requested, prepare proposals, provide services, prevent duplicate or abusive submissions, understand aggregate website performance and meet legal obligations. Requesting a report does not by itself request a telephone call or ongoing promotional email.

5. Disclosure and service providers

Information may be handled by service providers used for website hosting, email delivery, appointment scheduling, CRM or lead handling, protected-file storage, business communications, analytics and professional advice. Providers are selected for a defined purpose and receive only information reasonably required for that purpose. Information may be processed outside Australia depending on the provider and configuration.

6. Website analytics and cookies

The site uses aggregate Cloudflare analytics and session-only attribution. It does not launch with advertising pixels, session replay, heatmaps or a tag manager. Essential security services may use local storage or cookies.

7. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational controls appropriate to the information and service. No internet service can promise absolute security.

8. Retention

Enquiry and report-access information is retained only for as long as reasonably needed to provide access, honour communication choices, respond, manage a business relationship, maintain security and consent records, and meet legal obligations. Report-access links are designed to expire after seven days. Retention for project information is addressed in engagement terms.

9. Access, correction and deletion requests

You may request access to or correction of personal information we hold. Deletion may be available subject to legal, contractual, security and recordkeeping requirements. Contact privacy@instruo.com.au.

10. Direct marketing and opt-out

The requested report email is transactional. Ongoing promotional email is sent only in accordance with the separate consent recorded at submission or another lawful basis. You can withdraw consent or opt out using the message instructions or by contacting us. A report-only request is not treated as permission for a telephone sales call.

11. Complaints

Send privacy concerns to privacy@instruo.com.au. We will assess and respond within a reasonable period. You may also contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner where applicable.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when practices or requirements change. The current version and date will remain published here.
